Deion Sanders is a country boy at heart.

The former NFL star and Hall of Famer for Dallas Cowboys and current head coach of Colorado Buffaloes owns a massive 5,000-acre ranch in Texas.

Sanders is earning a $29.5 million salary over five years with Colorado after making $45 million as a player, and currently has several endorsements. He can afford a lot of goods (and those Louis Vuitton recruitment letters.)

While Colorado was on a bye week, Coach Prime took his star pupil and Heisman candidate Travis Hunter to the property for a good country life. Sanders gave a rare glimpse of the property as he rode around on his four-wheeler equipped with a hunting rifle to protect against all wildlife like coyotes, snakes and invasive hogs, which are a major problem in the area as they ravage the land.

Now back to his pork problem, which is common across the state. THE Houston Chronicle explained why this is such a big deal.

“Feral hogs, whose population has nearly tripled over the past four decades, are a known nuisance throughout Texas. Invasive species that feed on plants are estimated to cause approximately $2.5 billion in damage annually in the United States, and are particularly harmful to soil and vegetation.

When you own 5,000 acres, there’s bound to be a wildlife problem somewhere. At least Coach Prime can afford it.
