A 25-year-old man was arrested in suburban Detroit for allegedly making a death threat against former President Donald Trump.

According to an affidavit, Isaac Sissel, who does not reside in Michigan, was not going to kill Trump. However, he said that “if he knew someone was going to assassinate Trump, it would be his (Sissel’s) duty not to intervene,” according to the New York Post. The story was originally reported by Detroit News.

Sissel said he thought there might be violence during the election and that he might join Antifa in protest.

“Sissel also said that former President Trump was a threat, a ‘piece of shit’ who should have been assassinated, and that everything would be better if Trump was dead,” according to the affidavit.

Sissel was unarmed, but when he was arrested, he threatened to use a chemical irritant, according to the affidavit.
