Robert De Niro crashes NFL tailgate before Eagles game to lobby for Kamala Harris

Robert DeNiro was spotted in an unlikely place!

On Sunday, November 3, the 81-year-old actor crashed the tailgate before the Eagles-Jaguars game at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia to lobby for the Democratic presidential candidate. Kamala Harris.

The NFL shared two photos of De Niro’s surprise appearance at the stadium on X (formerly Twitter), writing: “Robert De Niro showed up at an @Eagles tailgate.”

In the snaps, De Niro can be seen standing among soccer fans dressed in green and black outfits to show support for their team. Meanwhile, the actor wears a black coat over a gray shirt and holds a stack of white papers.

The photos were taken by sports fan Mark Kremer, who common with the caption: “Has Robert De Niro joined your tailgate? No? This is why tailgates hosted by @philatticus and @ianfromphilly are the best.”

THE Eagles And Sunday Night Football on NBC also reposted the images on in the 2012 romantic comedy. Silver Linings Playbook.

“The silver lining of the Eagles tailgate: See Robert De Niro,” the NBC show joked in the caption of its post, which included a photo of De Niro at the tailgate as well as a snapshot of the actor in Eagles gear in the film.

Another spectator common a clip that shows De Niro interacting with the crowd while Cascada’s “Everytime We Touch” plays in the background. The two-time Oscar winner can be seen nodding and chatting animatedly with someone standing behind a barbecue table.

Michael Embrich, a former member of the Secretary of Veterans Affairs’ Advisory Committee on Veterans Rehabilitation, said he was campaigning with De Niro at the time. “I have the honor of joining Robert De Niro, Secretary Kerry and Rep. Chrissy Houlahan at the Eagles tailgate! Let’s vote for Kamala Harris! #GoBirds #Vote,” he wrote on X.

Along with his passionate message, Embrich shared a photo of De Niro speaking into a microphone at the tailgate while surrounded by a group of people.

This isn’t the first time De Niro has shown support for Harris, 60. In September, he participated in a live broadcast with another actor. Steve Buscemi to show their support and help raise funds.

According to The Hollywood ReporterDe Niro said he was “optimistic” that Harris and his running mate Tim Walz will win the election, but encouraged people not to be complacent.

“I’m very excited, but for me, it’s not over until it’s over. So we can’t think for one second that we’re ahead of this thing,” De Niro said.

“We just have to be there the whole time until the very end because they’re going to try everything on Election Day,” he continued. “When are these things going to be final? What are they going to question? What are they going to play games on? We know it’s coming, we see it coming. We just have to be ever vigilant, and it’s not It’s not over until it’s over.”
