Before the NFL trade deadline, Adam Schefter said on ESPN that the teams were discuss availability by Micah Parsons. THE Dallas Cowboys are sitting at 3-5 and lost Dak Prescott to a hamstring injury, leading to speculation they may look to stockpile picks.

That wasn’t the case as they decided to send a mid-round pick to Carolina. for wide receiver Jonathan Mingo. As for their veteransnone were moved – and there was never any discussion about Parsons according to Jerry Jones.

During his appearance on 105.3 The Fan, Jones categorically denied any conversations involving Parsons. He went further to say that he and his son, Stephen Jones, never spoke about Parsons’ presence outside of Dallas.

These words will be put to the test in the offseason. Parsons will need a new contract soon and Jones has struggled to complete those negotiations in a timely manner of late. With Parsons, this could be particularly difficult since he will be able to command more money than Jones has ever paid a defenseman.

Parsons was one of the league’s best passers in each of his first three seasons. Now in year four, he has recorded just one sack and missed four games with an ankle injury.

The Dallas defense has struggled to consistently press the passer and they hope he returns soon.
