Nonetheless, Travis County saw an increase in voter turnout percentage in 2024 (49.72%) compared to 2016 (49.32%), the last time early voting was limited to two weeks during ‘a presidential election year.

Williamson and Hays County both went in the opposite direction, with more voters in 2024 compared to 2020.

Both counties added a significant number of registered voters between 2020 and 2024. From a percentage standpoint, early voting was still down from 2020.

There was a slight decline in 2012, when only 36.84% of voters voted early, but this increased to 42.89% in 2016.
