Fort Bend Co. Fire: One person taken to hospital following house fire in Fulshear, fire officials say

FULSHEAR, Texas (KTRK) — The Fort Bend County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of a house fire that sent four people to the hospital Wednesday morning.

The Fulshear Simonton Fire Department responded to the Polo Ranch subdivision in the 31600 block of Eldorado Lane after a neighbor called 911 around 9:52 a.m.

The neighbor told ABC13 she saw smoke coming from the back of the house.

Investigators reported four victims, one of whom was seriously burned. Two were transported to hospital by Life Flight in critical condition, and the other two were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

All victims are expected to survive their injuries.

The ages of the victims have not been released, but a fire department spokesperson said they were all family members.

SkyEye flew over the scene and showed what appeared to be mosquito nets torn from the frame in the backyard of the house.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
