(CNN) – The Federal Emergency Management Agency says one of its employees advised its disaster relief team to avoid homes with signs supporting President-elect Donald Trump.

This happened in Florida after Hurricane Milton.

A FEMA spokesperson said in a statement that the agency was “deeply disturbed by the actions of this employee” and that the incident was under investigation.

The agency did not identify the employee but said she had been removed from her position.

The spokesperson said FEMA has deployed a new team to knock on doors of people who may not have been contacted previously due to this incident.
