GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) — A baby is dead and her father, from Goshen Township, is accused of her murder.

Emergency crews were called to the family’s home on Meadowbrook Drive at 7 a.m. on Nov. 4 for a baby who was not breathing.

Four-month-old Evelyn Kammerer was rushed to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where she died about 12 hours later, despite efforts to save her.

During the investigation, detectives said they learned that Evelyn’s twin sister had been seriously injured in the past, but those injuries had not been reported.

Detectives have not said what type of injuries the babies suffered or Evelyn’s cause of death.

They charged their father Andrew Kammerer with aggravated murder, felonious assault and child endangerment.

Residents of the Kammerer district are still informed of the tragedy. Mike Walter lives a few houses away from Kammerer. He said, “Nothing really happens like that. It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood. I feel bad for them. I’m not scared or anything like that, but I just feel bad for the family .”
