DHS and St. Bernard to Launch State’s First Maternal Life360 HOME

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – The Arkansas Department of Human Services and St. Bernards Medical Center announced Friday they will open the state’s first Maternal Life360 HOME in Jonesboro.

The program supports women with high-risk pregnancies by providing home visits during pregnancy and for up to two years after delivery.

“The intensive supports available through this program aim to improve health outcomes and health-related social needs, such as food security and housing, and, in turn, overall health and well-being. long term for women and babies,” said Friday’s press release. .

“The opening of the first Life360 Maternal HOME in Arkansas marks an important milestone and builds on our statewide goal to improve the availability and quality of care for pregnant women and babies throughout our State,” said DHS Secretary Kristi Putnam. “We are grateful to St. Bernards for leading the way and appreciate our many other partners across the state who are working to implement this program so more women can benefit from these services.”

The program will serve women enrolled in Medicaid benefits in Craighead County who have been diagnosed with a high-risk pregnancy. They should not receive other state or federally funded home visiting services.
