Real Madrid announced that Éder Militão suffered a complete torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee against Osasuna. Militão also suffered damage to both menisci of his right leg.

The Brazilian will be operated on in the coming days.

Militão was substituted in the 30th minute of Real Madrid’s La Liga match against Osasuna on Saturday and had to be stretchered off. He was replaced by Raul Asencio, a Castilla graduate. It’s a hard blow for Real Madrid’s defense, already deprived of Dani Carvajal and David Alaba.

This is Militão’s second ACL tear in as many seasons for Real Madrid. The first left knee injury occurred against Athletic Bilbao in August 2023.

Militão was not the only player replaced due to injury against Osasuna. Rodrygo and Lucas Vázquez also came out injured.
