According to the schedule, exams for CBSE Secondary School Examination 2025 (CBSE Class 10) will begin on February 15 and continue until March 18, 2025. THE CBSE Class 12 Secondary School Certificate Examination for 2025 begins on Saturday, February 15, 2025, with the first article being Entrepreneurship, and ends on Friday, April 4, 2025, with the last article being Psychology.
Exams are conducted in a single shift, usually starting at 10:30 a.m. The duration of exams varies by subject, with most lasting 2 hours or 3 hours, depending on the requirements of the subject. Key subjects like Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Business Studies are 3 hours long, while vocational and specialist subjects such as Tourism and Dance have a shorter duration of 2 hours.

Availability of teachers for evaluation: To avoid a scenario in which teachers of all subjects are simultaneously absent from school for an extended period of time, the schedule has been designed to allow for a smoother evaluation process, ensuring that teaching staff remain available for the grading and other necessary tasks.
Avoidance of topic conflicts: CBSE has considered over 40,000 subject combinations, ensuring that no student will have two exams scheduled on the same day.
