LONGVIEW Washington (KPTV) – A suspect has been arrested in connection with a Sunday morning shooting at a home in Longview, according to the Longview Police Department.

Police were called to the scene in the 1600 block of 11th Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, where they found the shooting victim with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Police quickly identified a potential suspect and a car, and the suspect was arrested and stopped by Cowlitz County sheriff’s deputies on Route 1-5 southbound near Woodland around 2 a.m.

An investigation into the shooting is underway.
