San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa could face a fine as a result of his actions following the team’s Week 8 game against the Dallas Cowboys. Bosa briefly participated in a postgame interview with three players, where he showed off his MAGA hat before quickly running away, signaling his support for Republican candidate Donald Trump in this week’s election.

This display violated NFL rules regarding players’ attire before, during and after games, and a fine could be imposed this week.

Bosa spoke to reporters for the first time since Trump won the election over Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, addressing the potential fine and his decision.

“I haven’t gotten one yet (a fine), but if it happens, it happens,” Bosa said before Wednesday’s practice, acknowledging that he was aware his actions could have consequences.

“It was worth it,” he added.

Commenting on the election result, Bosa said: “Obviously the nation has spoken and we got what we got. »

The defensive end mentioned that he enjoys following election coverage and staying up late to watch the results unfold. The 49ers are preparing to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium this weekend.
