FAIRFIELD, Ill. (WFIE) – In Wayne County, Illinois, Harris-Walz signs have gone missing and a couple has filmed some of the culprits.

Carroll and Amber Sanders volunteer for the Democratic Party and help put up Harris Walz signs in the community.

They said they installed nearly 30 to 40 signs and most of them are now gone.

Just this month, their home was vandalized and signs were stolen or damaged in their own yard.

Carroll Sanders says he won’t go to police, he just hopes people who see the signs will do some research on their own.

“You don’t have to be a poorly educated voter,” Carroll tells us. “The Internet is essentially an open book test and I think it’s time you all come to class.” »

Carroll says he’s not worried about his family’s safety, but he says other Democratic Party volunteers are afraid of retaliation.
