Jackie ‘O’ Henderson says what we’re all thinking and slams Australia’s obsession with rules: ‘A country joke’

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has launched a passionate speech against Australia’s obsession with strict rules.

Her tirade began when she and co-host Kyle Sandilands discussed the banning of far-right political commentator Candace Owens from Australia on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday morning.

The cancellation of Owens’ visa prevented her from giving five live lectures scheduled for the next month.

She has previously sparked outrage for her controversial comments on Israel, the Holocaust and LGBTQIA+ issues.

In discussing the ban, Jackie took aim more generally at Australia’s apparent need to introduce a whole host of strict rules into society, saying the situation had gotten “out of control”.

“I’ve been thinking about it, it’s been on my mind a lot lately. I think the government is implementing so many rules in our lives now,” Jackie shared.

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson launched a passionate speech against Australia’s obsession with strict rules during Wednesday’s episode of The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

“So many rules are made and we have no say in our lives and our decisions.

“The longer this continues, we become a ridiculous country when we are told at every step what we can and cannot do.

“I just think it’s getting to a point where it’s getting a little out of control!”

Kyle, 53, then chimed in and admitted he’s been thinking the exact same thing for years, and accused Jackie of not listening to him the last time he brought it up.

He said: “I’m pretty sure I brought this up about 20 years ago and you poo-pooed me, when they stopped everyone smoking on the beach and I said how bad it is was ridiculous because the beach is nature’s biggest ashtray.”

But Jackie wasn’t convinced of her point of view as she added: “OK, you’re not helping my argument here, that’s not the argument I’m making.”

Jackie then spoke about cancel culture and urged people not to interact with famous people they might disagree with, rather than canceling their shows.

“If you don’t like someone, don’t go see them,” she argued.

Jackie took aim at Australia’s apparent need to introduce a raft of tough rules, saying it had gotten “out of control”.

“Don’t listen to the show, don’t watch the TV show, if you think Chris Lilley is being too politically incorrect with his humor then don’t watch it, but stop trying to get people banned, stop d trying to impose a rule on every little decision we make in life.

Jackie’s rant against Australian Rules comes after Owens called Immigration Minister Tony Burke’s decision to ban her from the country a “trivial act of vandalism”.

“What you really see taking shape is people don’t want me to get in front of an audience,” Owens said on his podcast.

“We all know what happened in Australia, and that’s the story of this year: I’m not comfortable with the deaths taking place in Palestine.

“The determined punishment for me for not turning a blind eye to this was harassment.

“I accepted that. This is a much easier punishment than what these children accept on a daily basis.

The Candace Owens Live tour was scheduled to kick off in Melbourne on November 17, with tickets selling for $95 for reserved seating and up to $1,500 for a pre-show VIP dinner with Owens herself.

“Join us for an electrifying evening with Candace Owens, the outspoken and fearless American conservative social commentator, author, activist and YouTube sensation,” organizers say on the tour website.

“Known for her controversial stances and unwavering stance, Candace is ready to light up stages across Australia and New Zealand with her bold, unfiltered perspectives.”

Owens’ tour promoter called the decision to ban him from Australia “stupid” and called it “censorship”.

Owens became a notable figure on the American far-right as one of the few African-American commentators to controversially oppose the Black Lives Matter movement.

Despite securing a deal with conservative platform Daily Wire, co-founder Ben Shapiro later fired her over her criticism of Israel’s actions in the ongoing Middle East conflict and U.S. support to these actions.
