Boeing lays off nearly 700 employees in Missouri

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4/AP) – Across the state of Missouri, Boeing has laid off nearly 700 employees.

In a notice to the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development, Boeing said approximately 692 employees would be laid off at their Missouri locations beginning Jan. 17, 2025. The notice said been sent in accordance with the notification of adaptation and retraining of workers (WARN) Act.

In a notice filed with Washington Department of Employment Security On Monday, Boeing announced plans to lay off about 17,000 workers before Christmas.
