Congratulations, you have successfully read in tandem! For those who don’t know, the next two books in the ToG series, Empire of Storms And Dawn Towertake place on the same timeline and can therefore be read in tandem.

So, should you read in tandem? Yes, I can’t recommend it enough. While Dawn Tower is a fantastic book in its own right, the pace and onslaught of new information and characters might make it difficult to read after reading the heartbreaking cliffhanger of Empire of Storms. Reading both books at the same time keeps the pace going, helps make essential connections between the two plots, and is just pure bookish fun.

There are tons of guides on Google on how to break up chapters, but I’ll link one below that can be used to mark as you go. I used green and red sticky Post-it tabs to organize tandem reading on my paperback editions.
