MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) – The Blessing Birds is a non-profit organization that raises funds to help the community.

On November 3, they held a fundraiser to help Marietta City Schools students purchase items during the Santa’s Workshop event in December. They held a 50/50 raffle featuring over 30 different items.

They provided soup, desserts and treats for the participants. Although the money raised mainly came from the 50/50 raffle, donations were also accepted.

Sarah Miller, president of Blessing Birds, said it was important to give students the chance to participate in events like the Santa Workshop.

The Blessing Birds will be at Santa’s Workshop to help students as they shop.
