Four teenagers aged between 15 and 17 have already been charged over the alleged incident.

WA Police said officers were working around the clock to trace everyone involved in the alleged attacks.

“We understand that this situation is distressing for the victims concerned,” a police spokesperson said.

“That’s why we have worked tirelessly to find everyone involved and hold them to account.

“We want the sexually and/or gender diverse community to know that we are here, we want them to be safe and that if something unwanted happens, they are not alone. Options support and reporting are available.”

In September, Prime Minister Roger Cook condemned the alleged attacks, saying he hoped the perpetrators would be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

“What an insidious crime, what a horrible way for someone to carry out a crime in Western Australia, a violent crime,” he said.

“Not only to undertake this activity, but to conspire to undertake this activity.”
