U.S. Department of the Interior allocates $375 million for Nevada recreation projects

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) — The U.S. Department of the Interior has allocated $375 million for recreational projects in Nevada. The money comes from the sale of land in southern Nevada and will help improve recreation in rural and underserved areas.

Churchill County is one of the areas receiving funding. Officials say they will use the $42 million to make improvements to the 3C Event Complex, expanding the existing area, playgrounds and walking paths. The county also plans to replace existing ballfield infrastructure on Main Street and renovations will also include the expansion of the Churchill County Fairgrounds.
