WASHINGTON (7News) — A shooting at Rock Creek Cemetery in Northwest DC left one man dead Saturday evening, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

Police said they responded to reports of a shooting near the 5000 block of 1st Street, NW. When police arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

MPD said he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police confirmed the shooting happened on the 86-acre Rock Creek Cemetery property and are searching for a man dressed in black clothing and wearing a white medical mask.
