50 Cent claims he turned down $3 million to perform at the Trump Rally at Madison Square Garden

The rapper also says he turned down an offer to perform at the Republican National Convention.

50 cents would prefer to stay away from politics after allegedly being approached by Donald Trump‘s to get his seal of approval.

In an interview with The breakfast clubhost DJ Envy asked 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, if Trump had offered the rapper money to support him. “I got a call,” 50 Cent confirmed. “But they wanted me (for) Sunday.” The interview comes two days after Trump held a gathering at Madison Square Garden in New York on October 27.

Envy then asks if 50 Cent was approached to perform “Many Men” at the Republican National Convention in July, days after Trump’s July 13 assassination attempt. The rapper replied, “They offered $3 million,” and co-host Charlamagne Tha God responded. to clarify that the figure was offered for the Madison Square Garden rally, 50 Cent confirmed, and also said he was offered money for the Republican National Convention, although he did not disclose number.

“I didn’t even get that far…I didn’t talk to them about that stuff. I’m afraid of politics,” the 49-year-old rapper admitted.

He clarified his stance on remaining apolitical, saying, “That’s because when you get involved in this, no matter how you feel, someone passionately does not agree with you. It is the formula of confusion that sent Kanye (West) in Japan. He said something about both of those things – and now he can only go to Japan. »

50 Cent was referring to West’s extreme political beliefs which resulted in him being banned from performing at certain venues in the United States, including at Grammys after allegedly posting a racist slur on Trevor Noah‘s Instagram shortly before it was set to host the 2022 ceremony.

50 Cent recently announced that he would ring in the new year with his first Residence in Las Vegas. The six-date residency will take place at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on December 27, 28, 30 and 31, as well as January 3 and 4.
