Panthers safety makes good argument in response to Cam Jordan and his postgame message

In the Carolina Panthers‘ cinematic universe, Cam Jordan is a villain on a level all his own, something like Dr. Doom combined with your high school’s Meanest Girl. Certainly, Jordan’s New Orleans Saints have tended to get the better of the Panthers over the years.

While Jordan has certainly made the move in this rivalry, he also doesn’t seem to pass up any opportunity to talk about the Panthers – even after losing to them, apparently. Here’s what Jordan shared after today’s 23-22 loss to the Saints, which was his seventh in a row.

Such a strange message. Clearly, Jordan is disappointed with the way his team played, but it’s not clear who “deserves” this. Is it the Panthers, who ended their own five-game losing streak? Or is it Saints fans, who “deserve it” as much as any NFL fan base? It’s hard to say.

Regardless, today’s win officially puts the Panthers 2-7 ahead of the Saints 2-7 in the standings, as safety Lonnie Johnson Jr. helpfully pointed out when responding to Jordan.

Truth be told, no one should be really happy with how this game went other than Bryce Young and Alvin Kamara, who were disappointed by their respective teams on almost every level.

Anyway, next up are the New York Giants – who are about as bad as the Panthers and Saints. That means a bye week winning streak for Carolina isn’t out of the question.
