: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) on Tuesday announced that it is set to launch a residential land project on the occasion of the Diwali festival (October 31), with 821 plots on offer.

In September, Yeida launched a 361-plot scheme in which over 200,000 applicants applied for plots located near Noida International Airport in Jewar, which is expected to become operational by April 17, 2025.

Excited by the huge response, the authorities have decided to come up with another residential project which will include plots of different sizes in sectors 18 and 24A, officials said.

“We came up with this land project because there is a huge demand for residential land near the airport site. The project will provide a wonderful opportunity for buyers wanting to build houses near Noida Airport. The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority has issued a registration certificate for this scheme. We have completed all the formalities related to approvals so that we can provide opportunities to interested buyers on the eve of Diwali,” said Arun Vir Singh, CEO, Yeida.

Applications for this scheme can be submitted until November 30, with a draw scheduled for December 27, 2024.

This project mainly involves smaller plots for buyers wanting to build houses near the Noida airport, officials said.

Yeida officials said the brochure for the 821 plots had been finalized. Plot sizes will be 120 square meters (m²), 162 m², 200 m² and, for the first time, 250 m². Sector 24A will offer 344 plots and blocks 9A and 9B of sector 18 will have 477 plots.

Many people want to build houses in Yamuna town because of the airport and the international film city that will be established there.

“This project comprises mostly smaller plots, with the largest measuring 250 square meters. Farmers will get 17.5% reservation under the scheme. Considering the response we received to our previous program (in September), we hope to get a good response to this program as well,” the CEO said.
