HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The managed lane of southbound Highway 288 in Calumet was closed for hours Monday afternoon due to a homicide investigation.

According to Houston police, homicide detectives were called to the 5700 block of Hwy after a person was found shot to death around 11:10 a.m. Monday.

A caller initially alerted authorities to the shooting, police said.

One person was arrested on site.

TranStar cameras showed a heavy presence of law enforcement as well as emergency medical services.

The toll lanes reopened shortly after 4 p.m.
