Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner won’t join new Trump WH: sources

Ivanka Trump was alongside his father as he won the Presidency for a historic second term — but that doesn’t mean she’ll join him at the White House, sources say.

The statuesque blonde is preparing to be his first daughter a second time, however, she and her husband Jared Kusher have spent the last few years settling into life in Miami and have no plans to return to the political fray.

The couple, both 43, moved to Florida after a tumultuous few years in Washington DC, where they both worked in the Trump administration from 2017 to 2020 as advisers.

This made them lose some of their most liberal friends, several sources confirm.

The couple now lives with their three children Indian Creek Islandnicknamed the “billionaire’s bunker”, where neighbors include close friends Tom Brady and the founder of Amazon. Jeff Bezos and his fiancée, Lauren Sanchez.

A socialite source in Miami told us Ivanka – who called her dad’s conviction about his secret trial in May, “painful” – is “loved”.

A close source added: “Ivanka is proud of her father, she loves him, but his last presidency took its toll.

“There were friends who turned their backs on Ivanka and Jared because of Donald, and it was hurtful.

“Now she has a good life, she thinks she doesn’t need to work in the White House to make a difference.”

Although she won’t be attending meetings in the West Wing, Ivanka, who joined President Trump on stage alongside her husband, siblings and Melania Trump in the early hours of Wednesday morning as he proclaimed his victory, nevertheless looked forward to still having an impact on public life.

“I expect we’ll be able to see Ivanka working with tech leaders and talking about child safety on the internet, as well as her concerns about child trafficking, those are the kinds of things that she’s been focused on the White House,” the source said.

“I think we’ll see her use her power that way.”

At the White House, Ivanka also focused on education and economic empowerment for women and families.

Another source close to the Kushner family added: “Ivanka has been remarkably consistent over the past two years and right now she is focused on her family and the needs of her children.

“She has no intention of going into politics. If she has something to say, she will speak about it directly and privately with her father… If that changes and she decides she wants to advocate for various policies, she will say it publicly.

After Kushner left the White House, he launched a private equity firm that received a $2 billion investment from the sovereign wealth fund controlled by Prince Mohammed, attracting attention from Democrats.

Speaking at a summit in Miami in February sponsored by media company Axios, Kushner insisted he had followed all legal and ethical rules.

And he rejected the idea that there were concerns about the appearance of a conflict of interest in his business dealings.

“If you ask me about the work that we did at the White House, for my criticisms, what I say is point out a single decision that we made that was not in the best interest of the “America,” Kushner added.
