A Pennsylvania woman whose mail-in ballot was returned to her instead of counted said she flew from Berlin to return to her home state to vote in person.

Lexi harder30 years old, said The New York Times she paid more than $1,100 for a round-trip flight from Germany to the United States so she could vote in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Keystone State looms as crucial battleground in vice presidential election Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump. Harder said she voted for Harris.

Stronger explain that his postal ballot was apparently held at customs before being returned to him:

I am a Pennsylvania voter. I grew up here. I am currently living in Germany for a Master’s degree… I registered for postal voting. I filled it out, kept checking my tracking updates and it was never received. I think it was stuck in customs for two weeks and then was sent back. And two hours after I got that ballot on my desk, I looked at the flights and booked the ticket to leave the next day at 10 a.m., so less than 24 hours later I was back in America. It’s really important to me that my vote is heard in such an important pivotal state. I’m not going to lie. I’m really hoping for a Harris win.

Early numbers show high turnout across much of Pennsylvania, including Democratic stronghold Philadelphia. Before polls closed in the state, Trump baseless claimed there is talk of “massive CHEATING” taking place in the city. The former president still falsely maintains today that the 2020 elections were rigged against him.
