    Fire in 9800 block of Bennington causes significant damage to home

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City firefighters responded to a house fire in the 9800 block of Bennington on Friday.

    This happened around 12:15 p.m. When crews arrived on scene, they reported smoke coming from a two-story home.

    The occupants were not present in the house at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. However, the house appears to have suffered significant damage.

    The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
