Quiboloy briefly transferred to Children’s Hospital for further testing

Detained Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Apollo Quiboloy was briefly transferred to the Children’s Medical Center of the Philippines from the Heart Center of the Philippines in Quezon City for some tests, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Thursday .

PNP spokesperson Brigadier General Jean Fajardo said Quiboloy was brought to the Children’s Hospital around 8:49 p.m. Wednesday and returned to the cardiac center around 9:10 p.m.

“Pursuant to the court order at approximately 8:49 p.m., Pastor Apollo Quiboloy of the Heart Center of the Philippines was allowed at the Children’s Hospital of the Philippines to undergo certain tests which would require the use of certain equipment,” a she declared during a press briefing.

(As per the court order, Quiboloy was brought from the Philippine Heart Center around 8:49 p.m. last night to the Children’s Hospital of the Philippines for certain tests that would require the use of certain equipment.)

“Around 9:10 p.m. po ay naibalik na rin po siay Philippine Heart Center (Around 9:10 p.m., he was brought back to the Philippine Heart Center.)

Based on the order of the Pasig Municipal Court, Quiboloy is expected to return to his cell at the PNP Detention Center in Camp Crame on Saturday at 5 p.m.

Quiboloy was brought to the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City on November 8 after complain on chest discomfort on November 7, according to the PNP.

Initially, the PNP Health Department conducted an examination of Quiboloy and found that he suffered from “atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response” or “irregular heartbeat.”

For this reason, Fajardo said the PNP health department also recommended further examination of Quiboloy and his camp. filed an urgent petition to take the KOJC leader to the hospital.

A Pasig City court had earlier rejected the Quiboloy camp’s plea regarding his hospital arrest.

Quiboloy, a self-described “Son of God,” is currently facing a non-bailable charge of human trafficking under Section 4(a) of Republic Act No. 9208 , as amended, in a court in Pasig.

He also faces charges under Section 5(b) and Section 10(a) of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children from Abuse, Exploitation Act and discrimination.
