List of F&O prohibitions: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) banned six stocks from trading on Thursday (November 21) in the futures and options (F&O) segment as they exceeded 95 per cent of the market-wide position limit (MWPL). ).

However, these shares will be available for trading in the spot market. The NSE updates the list of securities banned from F&O trading on a daily basis.

List of F&O bans today

Aarti Industries, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, GNFC, Granules India, Hindustan Copper and Gaz Indraprastha are the six stocks on the NSE’s F&O banned list on November 21.

The NSE said derivative contracts on these securities exceeded 95% of the market-wide position limit and were placed within the exchange’s blackout period.

“All clients/members shall trade the derivative contracts of the said security only to reduce their positions through offsetting positions. Any increase in open positions will result in appropriate penal and disciplinary action,” the NSE statement said.

No new positions are allowed when exchanges place F&O contracts on a particular stock during the blackout period.

November 19, benchmark Sensex rallied 239 points as Nifty ended its seven-day losing streak following value buying in the banking, IT and automobile sectors amid mixed global trends.

Ending its four-day decline, the 30-share Sensex climbed 239.37 points or 0.31 per cent to settle at 77,578.38. The index opened with gains and surged further by 1,112.64 points or 1.43 percent to hit the day’s high of 78,451.65. However, Reliance Industries’ recent decline has limited the market’s recovery.

The NSE Nifty also rebounded after seven consecutive sessions of losses. The broader barometer, made up of 50 issues, gained 64.70 points or 0.28 percent to settle at 23,518.50. The index surged over 300 points to reach the level of 23,780 on the day.

The BSE midcap index jumped 0.94 per cent and the small cap index climbed 0.90 per cent.
