The Five co-host Jessica Tarlov threw shade at his Fox News colleague Laura Ingraham Monday, referencing Ingraham’s controversial “shut up and dribble” REMARK.

After Tarlov’s co-hosts on The Five celebrated a series of clips showing NFL players and the UFC star Jon Jones imitating the president-elect that of Donald Trump iconic dance, Tarlov said:

So, I guess we’ve gotten to the part of the Trump era where we’ve moved past “Shut up and dribble,” and now it’s fantastic for athletes to talk about their politics or express their politics, because that was one of the critical points when Colin Kaepernick was kneeling, when LeBron James was speaking.

And I get it, Donald Trump wants to take a victory lap, and he won, and he should, and I think liberals are doing the right thing and they’re thinking about how his coalition was formed, what part of our coalition has been lost. for him to win this victory. But I don’t think this kind of boasting that the people who don’t consume the news are the ones who win, because it’s dangerous.

The Tarlov excavations were a reference to Ingraham’s controversial 2018 monologueduring which she said LeBron James to “shut up and drool” after criticizing Trump.

“It’s still not wise to seek policy advice from someone who gets paid $100 million a year to bounce a ball,” she said. “Keep political comments to yourself.”

Ingraham received strong reactions to this comment, including from several NFL And NBA stars, which suggested there were “racial undertones” in the Fox News host’s comments.

Ingraham responded to the suggestion: deny his remarks had nothing to do with race.

Hours later The Five broadcast, Ingraham hosted a former wrestler Hulk Hogan and former NFL quarterback Brett Favre on his show, where they spoke out in favor of Trump.
