Fantasy Football QB Rankings, Week 10: Who to start with, top sleepers, injury updates, waiver wire picks

Even though only one quarterback eclipsed the 100-yard mark during Sunday’s main slate of games, there were still some impressive performances at the QB position across the league. It’s no surprise to see Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts leading the way in fantasy scorers at the position.

Burrow only rushed for 251 yards, but five of those passes were touchdowns, which certainly helps the cause. Hurts often gets many of his scores via the “Tush Push,” and even though he scored a rushing touchdown, it was a longer run. The “Tush Push” was actually stopped several times and on the goal line on a few two-point conversion attempts, but Hurts still threw for two scores and added 67 rushing yards to go along with that rushing TD.

And it was Geno Smith who ran for over 300 yards, but it was a roller coaster ride back then. He was 21 of 34 for 363 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions. He added another 16 yards on the ground. Smith relied on Jaxon Smith-Njigba with DK Metcalf out with a knee injury, but it ultimately wasn’t enough. Smith’s heroics near the end of regulation sent the game into overtime, but the Rams ultimately prevailed with an overtime touchdown.

But what does Week 10 hold for fantasy managers? Let’s take a look.

Who are the best fantasy QBs for Week 10?

Jalen Hurts continues to be one of Fantasy’s elite quarterbacks week in and week out. The Eagles offense looked sharper coming out of its bye a few weeks ago, and they finally scored their first first quarter points of the season in Week 9 against the Jags. With Hurts still in danger of scoring multiple touchdowns via the “Tush Push” plus having two primary targets in AJ Brown and Devonta Smith, it’s hard not to have him in the top 3. And against a shaken Cowboys defense in week 10, he has a great chance to be the overall QB1 this week.

Josh Allen continues to get the job done without having elite weapons in the passing game. The Bills recently traded for Amari Cooper, but the former Browns WR was inactive in Week 9, but that didn’t phase Allen. He didn’t go crazy on the stat sheet, but he went 25-for-39 for 235 yards and three touchdowns. With a weak Colts secondary on deck, expect Allen to post even bigger numbers in Week 10.

Lamar Jackson’s MVP campaign continues to go off without a hitch. The Brocnos have had a very solid defense so far this season, but Jackson shredded Denver, going 16 of 19 for 280 yards and three touchdowns. He continues to look in Zay Flowers’ direction as his favorite target racked up 127 yards on just five catches for two touchdowns. With Derrick Henry dominating in the running game, Jackson didn’t have to use his legs in this one, but he’s still a threat to do so. With the division next up against the Bengals, expect Jackson and the Ravens to come out aggressively to try and take an early lead.

Who are the bye QBs in Week 10?

Cleveland Browns: After a strong performance against the Ravens, Jameis Winston struggled mightily against fellow coach Harbaugh and the Chargers. Cleveland will have a very banged up Saints team in Week 11.

Las Vegas Raiders: Gardner Minshew and Desmon Ridder both played in a blowout loss to the Bengals. It will be interesting to see who the Raiders go with under center coming out of the bye to face the Dolphins in Week 11.

Green Bay Packers: Despite dealing with a groin injury, Jordan Love was able to face the Lions in Week 10. Love is getting time off to heal further and will face the Bears in another big NFC North matchup in Week 11.

Seattle Seahawks: Geno Smith is probably hoping and praying that the bye week gives DK Metcalf enough time to heal his knee injury and rejoin the team in Week 11 against the 49ers in a huge NFC West game.

Who are the best Fantasy QB waiver pickups in Week 10?

The running game is still an important part of the Chargers’ game plan week in and week out, but since Justin Herbert’s ankle injury has healed, it’s lighting it up a lot more through the air. We were 18 of 27 for 282 yards and two touchdowns. He continues to build a rapport with rookie Ladd McConkey, and the return of Quentin Johnston was a big boost as well, as he caught four of five targets for 118 yards and a touchdown.

Drake Maye is definitely still a work in progress, but the promise is clear as day. He made a tremendous play, hitting Rhamondre Stevenson in the end zone to send the Week 9 game against the Titans into overtime, but the Pats ultimately came up short. He was 29 of 41 for 206 yards, a TD and an INT, but he also added 95 rushing yards on just eight carries. Maye plays behind one of the worst offensive lines in football, but his rushing potential can help him get out of trouble at times. Once true passing improves, Maye will be dangerous more consistently.

Who are the best QB fantasy sleepers in Week 10?

When you learn that the Kansas City Chiefs won two Super Bowls between Daniel Jones’ last two home touchdowns, it doesn’t inspire much confidence to bring him out as a starter in Week 10, but listen- We. . Jones kept the Giants competitive against the upstart Commanders led by Jayden Daniels. He finished 20 of 26 for 174 yards and two touchdowns, but he also added 54 yards and another touchdown on the ground. If he can continue to add rushing work with improved passing, then that’s a recipe for success. And there’s no better opponent to go all out against than the Panthers.

Bo Nix is the only player in the league this year who can say he has scored at least one rushing, receiving and passing touchdown. The Broncos were just eliminated by the Ravens, so Nix might be overlooked this week. He was only able to total 223 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. He added 36 yards rushing on six carries, but he also had that touchdown on a throw from Courtland Sutton. The Chiefs are a solid defensive unit, but with Nix’s versatility, he should be able to succeed from a fantasy standpoint.

What are the biggest QB injuries of Week 10?

Week 9 was relatively quiet in terms of new quarterback injuries, but the Dallas Cowboys’ rough start to the season became more difficult when Dak Prescott exited early with a hamstring injury. He also appeared to have a laceration on his throwing hand, but the hamstring injury was the reason given for not returning. Cooper Rush came in relief, and until we know more, we’re going with Rush in the rankings for now in an NFC East rivalry game against the Eagles.
