The Korea Aerospace Administration and the Korea Institute of Astronomy and Space Science said that the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket equipped with the solar coronagraph and Codex will be launched at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 11:29 a.m. on the 5th.

The codex will separate from the projectile approximately 10 minutes after launch and dock with the ISS approximately 13 hours later before being installed on the ISS External Payload Platform (ELC3-3) via a robotic arm .

The CODEX installed on the ISS will carry out observations for up to 55 minutes, including simultaneous measurement of temperature and velocity as well as the shape of the solar corona during the 90-minute orbital period.

Codex operations and mission control will take place at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, where the agency plans to receive and monitor information remotely.
