Enner Valencia is a certified Ecuadorian legend, as well as one of those cult footballing heroes, especially among West Ham fans.

His latest strike for his country may well be the best of the record 44 he has for them in total.

Just seven minutes into the match, the Lionel Messi who is apparently in Valencia woke up and saw the 35-year-old cutting through the Colombian defenders with ease, before heading home with a delicious left-footed finish.

The South American defenders must be sick of seeing the big Argentinian at this stage, so they’ll be hoping it’s an isolated Valencia case!
