Maharashtra Elections 2024 Live Updates: In 2nd list out of 20, Shiv Sena picks Deora, Nirupam and ex-BJP netas

Shiv Sena on Sunday released its second list of 20 candidates, including former Congress netas Milind Deora (Worli) and Sanjay Nirupam (Dindoshi), taking its number of candidates to 65, reports Chaitanya Marpakwar. Several ex-BJP netas are on the list. The party abandoned its Palghar MP Srinivas Wanaga, the only one to be abandoned without any family members being accommodated among the 41 Sena MLAs, while a sitting RS MP and two sitting MLCs received tickets.
In Mumbai, those in the list include former BJP corporator Murji Patel from Andheri East, former MP Tukaram Kathe from Chembur, former corporator Suvarna Karanje from Vikhroli and ex-BJP neta Nilesh Rane from Kudal. In place of Wanaga, former MP Rajendra Gavit got a ticket from Palghar. Sena repeated its three remaining sitting MLAs in MMR: Vishwanath Bhoir from Kalyan (W), Shantaram More from Bhiwandi Rural and Balaji Kinikar from Amernath. From Boisar, Sena nominated BJP neta Vilas Tare. In Bhiwandi East, Sena has fielded ex-BJP neta Santosh Shetty, who joined the party on Friday.
