Arkansas State Police Special Agents Arrest North Little Rock, Ga. Man

Special agents with the Arkansas State Police Division of Criminal Investigation traveled to Dublin, Georgia to meet with authorities from the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office and arrest a man involved in a shooting in North Little Rock.

Officers arrested Alvertis Murry, 52, of North Little Rock, on Monday, October 28, 2024, in connection with a shooting that occurred on October 11, 2024 on Interstate 630.

Investigation results showed that Murry was driving around 10:20 a.m. on I-630 near the Woodrow Street exit, where he fired multiple shots at another vehicle, according to a news release.

The driver was hit in the arm, but was later treated by UAMS until released.

CID special agents took Murry and transferred him to the Pulaski County Detention Center.

Murry was charged with possession of a firearm by certain persons and first-degree battery.

His bail is set at $200,000.
