Wolverhampton girl, 8, becomes third in her family to contract rare eye cancer

An eight-year-old girl from Wolverhampton has become the third member of her family to contract a rare type of eye cancer called retinoblastoma.

Kriti’s mother and grandfather both had to have one eye removed due to the disease.

Kriti’s eyes were saved, but she faced more than 200 appointments at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Her mother Aazmeen said they couldn’t have gotten through it without the support of the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust, a charity which receives funding from Children in Need.
