WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The City of Wichita issued a warning Tuesday regarding poor air quality.

The air quality index is currently 154, which is considered dangerous for people with heart or lung diseases, the elderly, children and adolescents.

The city encourages residents to follow these precautions to minimize their exposure:

• Avoid strenuous outdoor activities.
• Keep outdoor activities short.
• Consider moving physical activities indoors or rescheduling them.
