Why the Rams defense needs a lockdown performance

Week 10 ends with a great matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the Miami Dolphins.

It’s Monday Night Football. Prime time. All eyes will be on this match.

The Rams come into this game on a three-game winning streak. And the Dolphins are on a three-game losing streak.

But now the Dolphins are fully healthy and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is back under center. The Rams defense will be challenged to stop the Dolphins’ speedy offensive weapons.

Dolphins receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are two of the fastest receivers in the NFL.

The pass rush and coverage of the Rams defense will be key for the Rams to win this game and advance above .500. The good news for the Rams is that they have a young secondary that will also fly around the field.

“I’m just being intentional,” said Rams safety Kamren Kinchens on Rams revealed. “I think that’s the biggest thing for us every week. Not you know, focusing too much on ourselves. But being intentional about coach’s game plan. Just going out there and execute it. So that’s all it’s going to be.”

The Rams will have an extra day to prepare for the Dolphins since the game will be played on Monday. The extra day will help the Rams prepare better and help their players have an extra day to recover.

“First, just recovery. It could be recovery for your mind or your body. You know, football takes a lot of time. It takes a lot of toll on your body and your mind. But just being able to go back home and sleep.”

There is some interesting storylines ahead of the Rams-Dolphins game.

The most important is the return of two former Ram players. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey and receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Both players played important roles in the Rams’ Super Bowl victory in 2022.

Monday night’s match is definitely one to watch. Two teams with two outstanding head coaches. These are arguably two of the best offensive mindsets in the game. Both coaches spent time together in Washington before becoming head coaches of their respective teams.
