Boy Who Wore Wheelchair-Friendly Eras Tour Costume Sees Taylor Swift Perform Live

The 11-year-old boy who went viral thanks to his Eras Tour Inspired Halloween Costume finally saw his hero in person!

On Friday, November 1, Henry Hinson’s mother, Erin Hinson, shared images of her once-in-a-lifetime trip with her son from Kentucky to Indianapolis to Taylor Swiftthe final stop on his record-breaking tour – and revealed the young fan had the chance to meet the pop star’s mother.

“WE ARE AT #erastour ”, Erin captioned one of them posts starting Friday, showing the view from their seats at Lucas Oil Stadium. “For the rest of my life, this will be the most amazing thing.”

Henry was offered a pair of tickets to see Swift, 34, in concert after showing off her costume – which recreated the iconic pink and orange fans used by Eras Tour dancers Kam Saunders And Jan Ravnik – in a viral TikTok video. The costume even incorporated the 11-year-old’s wheelchair, which he uses after being diagnosed with spina bifida, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.

Taylor Nation — a group that works with Swift — then coordinated with Erin to surprise Henry with a pair of tickets. Just two days after her costume video went viral, Erin showed her son’s ecstatic reaction to receiving the tickets in another TikTok.

In another video Erin shared on Friday, Henry can be seen wearing the same outfit that dancer Saunders wears in the tour’s opening song. Erin also revealed that Andrea, Swift’s mother stopped to give Henry some more gifts, including tour merchandise.

“My favorite @Taylor Swift song for a long, long time is the song #Marjorie. My grandmother meant everything to me. Imagine our surprise when Andrea Swift (Taylor’s mother) made a special trip to our seats with a message and a hug for Henry from Taylor and she brought #erastour products for both of us,” Erin wrote in the caption of a TikTok featuring photos of her and Henry posing with Swift’s mother.

“I’ll never get over it,” Erin continued. “This all happened while Taylor was singing Marjorie from the stage, it’s something I’ll never forget. From one mom to another, I’ll never get over it. We told her also gifted a #friendshipbracelet that said ‘Henry’s Version’ She loved it.”

Another TikTok from Erin showed her and Henry’s reactions to the moment Swift’s dancers came on stage wearing the outfits that inspired her Halloween costume.

“Watching him see you doing something you love was magic I can’t explain,” she captioned the video, tagging Saunders and Ravnik. “For the rest of my life, when things seem big and scary, difficult and overwhelming, I will remember these #erastour moments.”

Saunders even commented on one of Erin’s many posts from Friday night, writing that he was sorry he missed the two on the show.

Erin’s final recap video of the concert included a heartfelt message to Swift and her team for giving Henry the opportunity to attend the show.

“@Taylor Swift & @Taylor Nation THANK YOU,” she began the caption. “This REAL TOUGH KID had an unforgettable time with you at #erastour. Your generosity, your kindness, your magic are unmatched. This sweet boy will remember every moment of that night.”

She added: “As we were leaving the stadium, he looked at me and said, ‘Mom, that was the best night of my life!’ It was lovely meeting you #TaylorSwift!”
