A new teaser has been released for the upcoming Extraterrestrial: Earthconfirming new details about the sci-fi series. In the trailer, which you can see above, it’s revealed that the show takes place in 2120, as the synopsis begins: “Mother Earth waits.” The globe then zooms out and we see its reflection in the head of a Xenomorph.

This teaser is very similar to the first trailer for the FX series, but has a few additions. At the end of the trailer, we get a creepy look at aliens before a human face appears.

The biggest revelation is the timeline. It was previously thought that Alien: Earth would take place approximately 30 years before Alien and before Prometheus. However, it now appears that Noah Hawley’s show is actually set just a few years before Alien.

This is very intriguing and could mean that more answers about the Nostromo are on the way in the spinoff series. The official synopsis gives us a few more clues: “When a mysterious spaceship crashes on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that brings them face to face with the greatest threat on the planet . sci-fi horror series Alien: Earth.

“As the members of the crash recovery team search among the rubble for survivors, they encounter mysterious predatory lifeforms more terrifying than they could ever have imagined. With this new threat unlocked, the research team must fight to survive and what they choose to do with it could change planet Earth as they know it.

The show stars Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl and Adrian Edmondson, among others. Alien: Earth will be presented in 2025.
