Frank Luntz reveals demo that could ‘propel’ Harris to victory

Republican pollster Frank Luntz said Friday night that he didn’t think there were any undecided voters left in key battleground states that would decide the election, which he said now hinges on young women.

If these voters mobilize en masse, Luntz told CNN Anderson Cooperhe expects to see the vice president Kamala Harris achieve a decisive victory next week.

Luntz quoted the final NPR/Marist poll of the race, which showed Harris leading former president Donald Trump in the so-called “blue wall” Great Lakes States, within the margin of error.

On AC360Cooper asked the focus group expert, “So, Frank, we mentioned at the top of the program the many polls showing Harris leading Trump in the so-called blue wall states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, all in the margin of error. Do you get anything out of it?

Luntz replied:

I guess it’s impossible for it to be that close and it’s impossible to understand the state of mind. For me, I don’t look at the polls as much anymore because it’s determined. I don’t think there are any undecided people anymore. There are still those who are not committed, there are still those who can be persuaded. But if you are undecided, you reject both candidates. You don’t like them. You’re not going to end up voting for them.

For my part, I’m trying to determine what the participation rate will be. And the group I watch more than any other is young women. If they turn out in significant numbers, if they represent a higher percentage of the overall voting base, then that’s great news for Harris. This could propel her.

While Luntz said the voting bloc he watches most is young women, he told CNN he also closely monitors Hispanic voters.

“The other group I watch, Latinos, are confused in part because of what happened at Madison Square Garden earlier this week,” Luntz said. “But the Latino population votes in large numbers in Western states, and it’s crucial in Arizona and Nevada. What they do could also be decisive.
