Yes, the affordable iPhone version is expected to be launched in early 2025, but reports are now pointing to a clearer timeline for the company’s iPhone SE 4 announcement. In fact, it could be the biggest iPhone SE upgrade Apple has ever made, with its AI features likely to end up under the SE name as well.

iPhone SE 4 Launch Timeline Leaked: What We Know

The Bloomberg report suggests that Apple could plan to launch the iPhone SE 4 in the first quarter of 2025, between January and March of next year. We’ve seen previous SE models launch around the same time, so it’s surprising to see reports also citing this date as the possible time for the iPhone SE 4 launch.

While the iPhone 16 series got everyone excited due to its support for Apple Intelligence features and the new camera control button, the iPhone SE 2025 is shaping up to be one of the biggest releases at Apple’s level for years.

There are rumors of the new upcoming iPhone SE model that would feature a similar design to the iPhone 14, meaning buyers can expect more than one or two upgrades.

Apple appears to be moving from LCD to OLED for all of its products, and we assume that includes the yet-to-be-launched iPhone SE 2025 model. The latest reports indicate that Apple wants to start using OLED panels for its models by 2025, with help from companies such as Samsung, LG and BOE.

The upcoming iPhone SE model is expected to support Apple’s AI features, which suggests that it could be powered by the A17 Pro chipset or even the A18 chipset. The device could feature a 48 MP primary camera, come with 6 GB of RAM, and also support USB C for charging.
