It was a bright night for Dodgers fans.

In honor of the team drama Return of match 5 to win the World Series, the D on the Hollywood sign lit up blue after the game in New York. The blue D above Los Angeles could be seen in the darkness during a night of celebrations across the city.

In downtown Los Angeles, blue lights illuminated Los Angeles City Hall in recognition of the Dodgers’ eighth World Series titles.

Several celebrations spilled into the streets, with some becoming unruly downtown Los Angeles And Echo Park.

THE the team returned to board a flight to LAX early Thursday. Players and coaches will be part of a victory parade and the Dodger Stadium celebration scheduled for Friday.

The Game 5 victory sparked celebrations at sports bars and elsewhere in a scene very different from the Dodgers’ last World Series victory during a pandemic-shortened 2020 season. This time, fans are also looking forward to a parade, which was missing after the 2020 title.

The World Series title is the team’s first full-season title in 36 years and the icing on the cake of a season full of promise with the addition of two-time MVP Shohei Ohtani to an already powerful roster in the alongside fellow MVPs Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts.

The 2020 season was shortened by the pandemic and played under several major MLB changes, including neutral-site bubbles and other safety precautions.

The triumph capped a run of domination by the Dodgers. briefly interrupted by a Game 4 offensive outburst from the Yankees. After Freeman’s spectacular extra-inning home run in the series opener and strong pitching performances from Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Walker Buehler in Games 2 and 3, the story was on Los Angeles’ side before Game 4, but the Yankees rallied for a 11-4 victory.
