Klum was unrecognizable as ET. from the 1982 film AND the alienin the scene where he wears a hat, a wig and a skirt, while playing dress-up with a young Drew Barrymorethe character of Gertie. Klum’s husband, Tom Kaulitz, was ET without clothes. What made things particularly unsettling was that their eyes could be seen protruding from the neck of the respective creature.

THE America’s Got Talent Judge is known for her love of spooky holidays. She regularly throws a star-studded party dressed in an elaborate costume. Over the past decade she has dressed as a peacock, a worm and Fiona from Shrek.

As she does every year, the model teased fans throughout the day with peeks at her look. In her first, she said her costume had been “in the works for a year.”

One showed Kaulitz putting makeup on her face. She captioned it: “It’s such a good sport.”

In the others, Klum coarsely textured skininspirational thoughts from a dinosaur. His team also noted that his 2024 suit is his “least comfortable” to date. She even had to remove her long nails to do this.

“I’m still anxious,” Klum told people this week about his costumes. “Because there’s no real try-on. Like, I can’t do a real fitting until I’m there. Because I never know if it works until the day (of). And then you know, and then something happens and I’m like, ‘Oh my God.'”

Klum cited dressing like an apple in 2006 as one of the times her costume didn’t work. Sealwho was her husband at the time, went there like Eve.

“Because I was nine months pregnant and I wanted to make sure that nothing could hurt the baby or anything like that,” she explained of the choice. “So I thought I was going to be this big apple, but then we forgot how am I going to get to the party?”

His team made it work.

“Look, I couldn’t fit into anything, so I couldn’t go through normal car doors,” Klum said. “So at the last minute they had to get me a convertible so I could get in the car and be able to go.”

Planning for next year’s look will begin immediately, says Klum told the Associated Press Wednesday.

“It always has to be different,” Klum said. “Completely different.”
