Emergency Services Day event returns to Berkeley County this month

MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) – Berkeley County families will have the chance to meet the first responders who could one day save their lives during the county’s Emergency Services Day.

Cypress Gardens will host the second annual event on November 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 3030 Cypress Gardens Road in Moncks Corner.

Families can meet Berkeley County first responders and emergency services crews and watch live demonstrations to learn CPR, how to stop bleeding and how to better prepare for disasters, which will also be available during the event. ‘event.

Additionally, the Berkeley County School District will have information about the district, the Berkeley Animal Center will have animals available for adoption and food trucks will be at the event.

This year’s Emergency Services Day aligns with Cypress Garden’s Free Saturday event for Berkeley Co. residents, who will receive free admission upon showing proof of residency. Cypress Gardens is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and last entry is at 4 p.m.
