At a district-wide crime review meeting, Panchkula Police Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Arya asked police officers to improve their operational efficiency and meet public expectations.

The meeting, held at the deputy commissioner’s office, included deputy commissioner of police Himadri Kaushik, deputy commissioner crime and traffic Virendra Sangwan, ACPs, station officers and branch officials criminal.

Arya reviewed the crime statistics of the districts and emphasized on continuous patrolling in all jurisdictions to prevent criminal incidents. He asked officers to proactively respond to public concerns and maintain transparency.

All police chiefs have been asked to step up their efforts against drug trafficking and raise public awareness of its harmful effects. Arya also stressed the need for prompt legal action against repeat offenders and seizure of assets acquired through illegal drug profits.

The police commissioner warned that illegal distribution of alcohol and gambling in public would not be tolerated. The concerned officers and police station officials have been advised to carry out stringent checks and take prompt action against violators involved in such illegal activities.

Referring to the increase in cybercrime, Arya urged officers to launch awareness campaigns to educate citizens about cyber security. He demanded that all complaints related to cybercrime be dealt with promptly and that offenders be apprehended quickly.
