LEGAZPI CITY — A police operation lasting almost a week in the Bicol The region led to the arrest of 40 drug suspects and the confiscation of nearly P3 million worth of illegal drugs.

From November 4 to 10, authorities seized 429,059 grams of shabu in 26 anti-drug operations conducted in six provinces and one city, a Bicol police report said Tuesday (November 12).

Albay made the largest haul, valued at P1.25 million, followed by Masbate at P768,400. Other seizures took place in Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Naga City and Sorsogon.

Bicol police chief Brigadier General Andre Dizon said other operations this month would target drug suppliers.
