The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued a warning to motorists on Sunday morning regarding poor visibility caused by the formation of fog.

Meteorology has issued a red alert, warning residents of a deterioration in horizontal visibility, which could further decrease at times in certain coastal and inland areas until 9:30 a.m.

In a post on X, Abu Dhabi Police called on motorists to exercise caution due to reduced visibility during fog. Drivers are advised to obey changing speed limits posted on electronic information signs.

On Saturday morning, the Met also released a red alert due to fog.

While the Met predicted foggy conditions in parts of the country this morning, today’s weather is expected to be mostly fine and partly cloudy at times.

Wet conditions are expected overnight and will continue into Monday morning with a risk of fog or mist forming over some coastal and inland areas.
