The Shiv Sena, led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, released its third list of 15 candidates on Monday evening (October 28), just before the nomination deadline for the Maharashtra assembly elections on November 20. This list includes Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Shaina. NC and Sanjana Jadhav, daughter of former Union minister and BJP leader Raosaheb Danve.

Shaina will contest from Mumbai’s Mumbadevi constituency, where her main opponent is incumbent Congress MP Amin Patel. Meanwhile, Jadhav is expected to contest from the Kannad seat in Aurangabad district (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar), currently represented by Udaysing Rajput of the Shiv Sena (UBT) led by former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray.

The Shiv Sena led by Shinde is part of the ruling Mahayuti coalition, which also includes the BJP and the NCP faction led by Ajit Pawar.

Voting for the 288-seat assembly will take place on November 20, with results expected three days later.
